Mk4 Update:
What a great car! The Factory Five guys really hit the mark this time.
The Mk4 battery box is done and available. The new version is easier to install and better then ever.
Many of the parts I sell are a direct fit for the Mk4 or I am working on the Mk4 versions. The specifics are noted below.
I still need a Mk4 in Northern Virginia for pictures. Please call me if your Mk4 is photogenic and you want some free parts.

| Battery Box |

This Battery Box is generally located in the original 4 link location but will work with 3 link and IRS and is accessed from the trunk.
The Battery Box is installed between the two 3/4 inch square tubes in the trunk. With 3 link it is installed a little to the driver's side.
With 4 link and IRS it is installed in the center.
The back of the box top slides under the lip of the rear trunk panel, and the front is held with the screws shown. The Battery Box is made from .060 5052 aluminum and is designed to use a group 34 battery (Optima part number 9002-002 or 8002-002). Under no circumstances use a battery with side terminals in any metal battery box, even if you are not using the side terminals.

| MKIII, 3.1, and MK4 FireWall Forward Kit |

This kit moves the firewall forward 1.5 inches. This makes more room behind the dash for heaters and computers but does not get in the way of your wipers. The kit includes a .090 5052 firewall and the 2 engine side driver's footbox panels. When used with the MKIII this kit widens the driver's side footbox so it is just like the 3.1 footbox.
This kit will not work with a 4.6 motor.
This kit is a direct fit in a Mk4.

| Fat Front Tire "F" Panel Kit |
|
Here is another cool setup the guys at SoFast Racing came up with. This kit replaces the “F” Panels and front elephant ears and creates about the most front tire clearance possible. Check out the increased size and all the extra bends in the “F” Panels. If you want to run extra fat front tires this kit helps a lot. This kit is manufactured by SoFast Racing Inc. and is sold by FFMetal and SoFast Racing.
The Fat Front Tire “F” Panel Kit costs $149.00 plus $10.00 shipping and handling.
This kit will work with a Mk4 but may require the use and trimming of your elephant ears. An exact fit kit is coming soon.

| Mark 3.1 Drivers Footbox Front |
|
The Drivers Footbox Front is made from .040 6061 aluminum just like the original. As you can see in the pictures no holes have been cut out. This panel gives you the option of cutting just the holes you need for your build and not having to look at the ones you don’t want.
This is designed for the Mark 3.1 Roadster, however it should work on the Mark III, but will require significant trimming.
This part will NOT work with a Mk4. A Mk4 version is coming soon.

| SOFAST Fan Shrouds |
|
When I built my car I found these Fan Shrouds and used one on my own car. With an aluminum radiator and the fan that came with my kit it keeps my 500 hp 408 stroker cool, with no temperature creep, even on 90 degree plus days. I was so happy with it I approached Farra Snook the owner of SoFast Racing Inc. about distributing them. The outcome of the talks was an exclusive arrangement with SoFast Racing Inc. The fan Shrouds are manufactured and also sold by SoFast Racing Inc.
These Fan Shrouds have a 16" Cutout and can use the Original fan that came with your Factory 5 Roadster Kit.
This part is a direct fit in a Mk4.

This FireWall is exactly the same shape as your original. The only difference is it is made from .090 5052 aluminum. It is much stiffer than the original .040 one and will not flex when you bolt things to it.
This part is a direct fit in a Mk4.
The FireWall costs $49.00 plus $15.00 shipping and handling.

| Passenger Side "F" Panel |

The Passenger Side "F Panel" is made from .040 6061 aluminum just like the original. As you can see in the pictures the hole for the radiator hose has not been cut out. If you do not use the Mustang Radiator you will not have to look at the big hole if you use this panel.
This part will work in a Mk4 but is not a perfect match. A perfect match is coming soon.

| MKIII Emergency Brake Hole Cover |
 |
If you would like to locate the emergency brake somewhere other than the stock location, like the top of the transmission tunnel or the left side of the driver's seat, this panel will cover the original MKIII hole.
This part is a direct fit in a Mk4.
